GHapp Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and OFFCAMPUS, LLC ("GHapp", "we", "us"), the company that operates GHapp, about your use of the GHapp mobile app and related services (the "App"). By using the App you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the App.

1. What GHapp is

GHapp helps you find events, restaurants, bars, beaches and things to do in Accra and across Ghana. It includes listings, maps, saved events and places, reminders, friends, group polls, vibe checks, flyer submissions and Ask GHapp, an AI assistant for planning a night out.

2. Who can use GHapp

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use GHapp.
  • Some places and events listed in the App, such as bars, clubs and some parties, are only open to adults. You are responsible for following each venue's age and entry rules and the law.
  • You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details safe and for activity on your account. Tell us at info@pivot57.com if you think someone else has used it.
  • Provide accurate information when you sign up, and don't impersonate anyone.

3. Listings are information, not a guarantee

Events and places in GHapp come from organisers, venues, public sources (such as Eventbrite, Instagram and Google) and other users. We work to keep them accurate, but we don't organise the events or run the venues, and details such as times, prices, line-ups and opening hours can change or be wrong. Please check with the organiser or venue before you go.

We are not a party to any ticket purchase, booking, ride or other transaction you make with a third party through a link in the App. Those are between you and that business, under its terms.

4. Ask GHapp

Ask GHapp uses artificial intelligence to suggest events, places and plans. Its answers are generated automatically, can be incomplete or wrong, and are not professional advice. Check important details yourself, and use your own judgement about your safety. Ask GHapp is not for emergencies; in an emergency in Ghana, call 112.

We limit how many messages you can send each day and may refuse requests that break these terms.

5. Your content

"Your content" means anything you add to the App, including flyers, event details, your profile, polls, vibe checks, Ask GHapp messages and reports.

  • You keep ownership of your content.
  • You give GHapp a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, adapt (for example, crop or reformat) and share your content in order to run and promote the App. For flyers and event details you submit, this licence continues after you delete your account so the listing can stay up.
  • You confirm that you have the right to share your content, and that sharing it doesn't break any law or anyone else's rights. Only submit flyers for events you are allowed to promote or that are already publicly advertised.
  • Submitted flyers are reviewed before they appear, and we may edit, decline or remove any content at our discretion.

6. Rules for using GHapp

GHapp has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. You agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, bully, stalk or intimidate anyone, or send unwanted friend requests after being declined;
  • post or submit content that is hateful, sexually explicit, violent, defamatory, misleading or illegal, or that involves minors in any sexual way;
  • promote illegal activity, including the sale of drugs or weapons;
  • submit fake events, spam, scams or misleading ticket links;
  • impersonate a person, venue or organiser;
  • use the App to collect other users' information, or scrape, copy or resell the App's listings;
  • try to break, overload, reverse engineer or get around the security or limits of the App; or
  • use Ask GHapp to generate content that breaks these rules.

Reporting and blocking

You can report content and users in the App, and you can block users so they can no longer contact you or send you friend requests. We review reports, and we aim to act on them within 24 hours by removing the content and, where appropriate, removing the user who posted it.

7. Our rights in the App

The App, its design, software, logo and the GHapp name belong to OFFCAMPUS, LLC or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App for your own non-commercial use, in line with these terms. Event and place information, images and trademarks belonging to others remain theirs.

If you believe something in the App infringes your copyright or other rights, contact us at info@pivot57.com with details and we will review it.

8. Third-party services

The App works with and links to services we don't control, including Apple, Google, WhatsApp, Uber, Bolt, Yango, Instagram, Eventbrite and ticket sellers. Your use of them is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

9. Ending your use

You can stop using GHapp at any time and delete your account in Profile & account → Delete account.

We may suspend or close your account, or remove content, if you break these terms, if we're required to by law, or to protect other users or GHapp. Where reasonable, we'll tell you why.

We may change, pause or stop any part of the App at any time.

10. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will always be available, error-free or accurate, or that listings, venues, events or other users will be safe or as described. You attend events and visit places at your own risk.

11. Limits on our liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, GHapp will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for any loss arising from events, venues, third-party services or other users. Our total liability to you for any claim about the App is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim (if any) or USD $50.

Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

12. Indemnity

If you break these terms or the law while using the App, and that causes a claim against GHapp, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent the law allows.

13. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Before starting any legal claim, please contact us at info@pivot57.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally. If that doesn't work within 30 days, disputes will be handled by the state or federal courts located in Georgia, United States, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.

14. Apple

If you downloaded GHapp from the App Store:

  • These terms are between you and OFFCAMPUS, LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App.
  • If the App fails to meet any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple has no other warranty obligation for the App.
  • Apple is not responsible for any claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, or consumer protection claims.
  • Apple is not responsible for any claim that the App infringes someone's intellectual property.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you.
  • You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a U.S. government embargo and are not on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top, and if the changes are significant we'll tell you in the App before they take effect. If you keep using GHapp after that, you accept the updated terms.

16. General

If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later. These terms, with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and OFFCAMPUS, LLC about the App.
